Uniform and Equipment Stores and Links are listed below. Basic Infantry Impression is recommended. The field uniform, equipment, boots, helmet and weapon should be purchased first. After you have your basic combat equipment then you can add varying field and dress uniforms. Eventually all members should have the early and later war field uniforms, dress uniform, foot locker and an M1 Rifle. This can be an expensive endeavor so once you decide that you are going to stick with it then you can begin purchasing these items over time. We have loaner items but you should eventually get the impression put together. After one or two battles of getting loaners you should assemble at least boots, unform and some gear. By the end of the first year you should have your basic field kit and be working on alternate field uniforms, class a's and foot locker. I'm posting generic information currently. I cannot post all of the pictures of all of the uniforms yet but over time I will add them as I have time. This is information for the new guys to see what the different impressions kinda look like. Of course there are varying uniforms throughout the war.
Early war would be: Wools and Khaki's Early to Mid-War: Wools and HBT's Late war: M43's

My recommendations for the basic PFC uniform and equipment are: M-41 wools with GI belt & buckle, M-41 jacket, M1 Garand with leather/web sling, helmet with net, 10 pocket ammo belt with canteen, cup and cover, bandage pouch, bayonet or m-3 fighting knife, combat suspenders, leggings and low-quarter rough-outs. You can add the pack, mess kit and pouch, entrenching tool, 1911a1 and holster(NCO), and a ton of other accessories as finances permit. These items would cover all WW2 Theaters and time frames.

The equipment listed above, minus the bayonet/knife and M1 will probably set you back between 700-800 bucks.

I'm sorry. Make that about 600 bucks w/o the pack, mess kit & pouch, entrenching tool & cover, edged weapons and firearms.

I'm in a quandary squad mates. I've committed myself to the Dec. 7th ceremony on Mt. Diablo but I got a message from Fred, who is co-ordinating our participation this year(the 3rd has done it in previous years), that the organizers say no weapons are allowed. The two previous times I've done this event in my early Army khakis and equipt. I carried my 1911, 1903 and my 16" bayo. The quandary is I have a personal standard which requires me to have a complete impression including the appropriate weaponry. Do you think I should still attend?(But if I do I'd probably feel resentment).

There are some events that do not allow live weapons and edged weapons so we bring airsoft or rubber as examples. Our group has done lay-outs at schools and airports that do not allow certain items so it's par for the course on occasion. Once you're there you can speak with the organizers and explain that. Rock

I do approx. 6 to 10 re-enactor events a year but I've decided to pass on this year's Pearl Harbor Ceremony.
